1. Training Program Features
This program provides a quick introduction to the structure of Japanese organizations and the Japanese way of working. In particular, we focus on Japan’s unique take on the concept of teamwork and the communication styles derived from it (e.g., Ho-Ren-So). You will also learn about not just Japanese business manners, but also the cultural backgrounds leading to the establishment of these manners. By the end of the program, you will have a comprehensive understanding of the Japanese way of working and its underlying cultural motivators.
2. Program Design
This program begins with a lecture on how to prepare for working across cultures, followed by a description of the Japanese way of working. Culture is neither positive or negative, instead it is simply a reality that needs to be understood in order to succeed. The program is designed from a global perspective and is intended to provide useful knowledge in order to promote cross-cultural understanding and not to impose the Japanese way of working. By the end of the program participants will have developed a solid foundation in cultural understanding and be able to recognise the business benefits to adopting culturally appropriate behavior and manners.
